This university project was initiated and accompanied by the
electric motorcycle brand CAKE.
How can we communicate effectively in urban traffic? With the
growing presence of electric vehicles, the auditory image of
cities is being redesigned actively.
How is cake - and how are you as a cake rider - perceived in
this environment?
After evaluating concepts, which not only tackle safety issues
in city traffic, but also bring value to the riding experience
and brand recognition, I decided to redesign the bikes controller.
Finally I settled on three widely different designs. Each of
them has their own unique experience and creates a strong
connection between product and sound design.
The control unit is suitable for all cake
platforms and builds the communicational bridge between driver,
bike and surrounding.
